Just back from Malta... My recent trip to the island of Malta (in the Mediterranean, south of Sicily) was very interesting...Meeting new people, experiencing a unique culture, architecture, cathedrals, castles, fortresses.... It felt like time travel into ancient days.

I went to Malta to perform a Wedding/Blessing for a couple that William and I had met recently. An unexpected highlight occurred.... Gordon, the Catholic Priest with whom I performed the Ceremony, took a day from his busy schedule to escort William and myself to the island of Gozo, to see the oldest Goddess Temple in the world....7000 years old! AMAZING!!!

This Temple, honoring the fertility Goddess, is shaped like the female form. I stood at the place of the oracle, touched the towering stone slabs and felt the ancient energy of this holy spot. Then, we went to a castle of The Knights Templar. This ancient, secret society of men kept the Goddess practices alive during the time when people true to Pagan ways of nature and the Goddess were being killed.

Later, we went to St. John's Cathedral where all of the Knights are buried. It is one of the most beautiful churches I have ever seen. And all the while, our new friend, Gordon, was open, curious, loving and supportive of my beliefs, teachings and work, even though it is so very different than his own. He sees the need for sharing with others and for honoring spiritual differences and diversity. His heart energy was immense and I felt that there was a connection from the past that brought us together.
